Phillip W. Dowdy of Farmville is pleased to announce the engagement of his daughter, Adrienne Nicole Dowdy, to Matthew Axton Campbell, son of Dr. and Mrs. Michael A. Campbell, of Keysville.

Adrienne is the daughter of the late Joyce Coates Dowdy. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Syon Sylvanous Coates and Mrs. Katherleen Fulcher Dowdy, of Farmville, and the late Mr. Ryland Thomas Dowdy.

Matthew is the grandson of Mrs. Nancy Duvall Isham, of Cumming, GA, and the late Mr. Eugene Shores Isham and Dr. Matthew Axton Campbell, of Springfield, and the late Joan Orth Campbell.

Adrienne is a 2002 graduate of Fuqua School and attended Southside Virginia Community College and Longwood University. She is currently employed as a Benefits Programs Specialist with Prince Edward Department of Social Services.

Matthew is a 2000 graduate of Randolph Henry and a 2004 graduate of Longwood University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He is the owner of Campbell Trucking LLC.

A June 2012 wedding is planned.
