RICE, Jan. 24 – Minnie Louise Fallen, 95, of Rice, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012 at her residence. She was born April 18, 1916 in Halifax to the late Edward and Eva Franklin Francisco. She was the widow of Leo “Bumps” Fallen.
Mrs. Fallen was a longtime salesperson at the Baldwin's Store in Farmville. She loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens.
She is survived by a son, Charlie Fallen of Rice; brothers, Ronnie Francisco of Scottsburg and Harry Francisco of Richmond; sisters, Becky Hodges and Margie Bowman, both of Richmond and Ruby Williams of Clover; granddaughter, Charlene Fallen of Rice, numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend, Susan Lickey. She was preceded in death by her seven siblings.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, at 2 p.m. at Pisgah Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, (today) January 24, from 6-8 p.m. at the Puckett Funeral Home.
