JANUARY 10 – Louise Ford Harris Wilck, 94, of Farmville, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Woodland in Farmville. She was the wife of the late Joseph H. Wilck Sr.

Mrs. Wilck was born November 21, 1917 at Five Forks, the daughter of Marshall Diuguid Harris and Mary Elam Harris. She was a Veteran of the Korean War, and served as an officer in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps. Mrs. Wilck was a registered nurse and retired from Longwood University in Farmville.

She is survived by three nieces, Mary Webb “Mimi” Stout of Lorton, Margaret Webb Thomas of Buckingham, and Frances Webb Ford of Forest; four nephews, Marshall Smith, Neill “Chris” MacRae, Roderick MacRae, and John Malone; brother-in-law, Neill MacRae of Virginia Beach; step-daughter-in-law, Catherine Wilck of Farmville and children. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her stepson Joseph H. Wilck Jr., three sisters, Eleanor Harris MacRae, Frances Harris Malone, and Edith Harris Webb Steger, and a nephew, Howard “Sonny” Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 15, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Farmville.
