BUCKINGHAM, Jan. 3 – John Franklin Sprinkle, 65, of Buckingham, died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at his residence. He was the son of Bernice Hamlett Sprinkle and the late Francis Bernard Sprinkle.

Mr. Sprinkle was a retired Brick Mason and a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marie G. Sprinkle; daughter, Jennifer O'Conner of Appomattox; son, John F. Sprinkle Jr. and wife, Janee of Chesterfield; three sisters, Anne Carr of Halifax, Patricia Miller of Pamplin and Elizabeth Hamlett of Pamplin; brother, Richard Sprinkle of Pamplin and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Terry Lee Sprinkle, Charles Phillip Sprinkle and Steven Sprinkle.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 5 in Evergreen Cemetery in Charlotte Court House.
