MEHERRIN, Jan. 3 – Delores Jean (Clark Reed Coryell) Partin, 76, of Meherrin, went home to be with the Lord at The Woodland in Farmville on Friday, December 30, 2011 after a valiant battle with breast cancer.

She is survived by David Partin, her husband of 10 years; children, Deborah Fitch (John), Donna Duckett, David Reed (Joane), Diane Palacios (Nelson), Dawn Schumaker (Darryl) and Dwayne Coryell (Julia); brothers, Roy Clark (Barbara) and Dwight Clark; sister, Susan Coryell (Cliff); five stepchildren, 17 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and second husband, Wayne Coryell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hester and Lillian Clark, brother, Richard Clark and sister-in-law, Betty Clark, son, Dwight Reed, nephew, Alan Coryell and first husband, Albert Reed.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 3 at Meherrin Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Woodland in Farmville and Dr. Schunn and staff at the Virginia Cancer Institute at the Thomas Johns Cancer Hospital in Richmond for their care and compassion.

The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, Keysville, was in charge of arrangements.
