KEYSVILLE, Jan. 17 – Charles P. Barton, 73, of Keysville, died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in Farmville. He retired from a long stint in the United States Navy.

Mr. Barton is survived by his wife, Betty Barton; sons, Charles P. Barton Jr. of Tennessee and David E. Barton of Texas; and a daughter, Elizabeth A. Barton of Newport News.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 20 at the Abilene Community Center at 5 p.m.
