Ceremony Held

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Harding are proud to announce the marriage of their daughter, Katie Diane, to Benjamin David Manis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Manis, on May 28, 2011, at the Ballowe House in Shepherds.
The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie W. (Billy) Duffey, of Keysville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman P. Harding Sr., of Keysville. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Manis, of Buckingham, and Betty Sue Mills, of Yorktown, and the late Jim Mills. He is the great-grandson of Mary Senger, of Buckingham.
The Reverend Frank Lacey officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, wore a white semi-sweetheart strapless gown. The satin with lace overlay bodice was adorned with a crystal beaded bust and waistline. The satin skirt was accentuated with pick-ups and fell into a chapel-length train. Her bouquet was white and yellow Gerber daisies, green cushion mums, and green spider mums. The groom wore a black tuxedo with gray tie.
Mrs. Jennifer Wright, of Keysville, was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Sara Cooper, cousin of the bride, of Culpeper; Miss Elizabeth Hodges, of Farmville; and Miss Ashley Blackwell, of Cumberland. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Meredith Feinman, of Charlotte Court House. They wore yellow knee-length chiffon gowns with a sweetheart neckline. Flower girl was Miss Grace Golden, cousin of the bride, of Perrysburg, OH. She wore a white sleeveless organza gown with handruched pear-colored taffeta band at the waistline. The full gathered floor-length ball skirt was embroidered throughout with pear-colored polka dots.
Mr. Manis served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Lonadier, of Farmville; Caymus Colgan, cousin of the groom, of Yorktown; and Chase Worley, of Cumberland. Junior groomsman was Adam Cooper, cousin of the bride, of Culpeper. They wore black tuxedos with yellow ties. Ushers were Mark Miller, brother-in-law of the groom, of Chesapeake; Austin Wright, brother-in-law of the bride, of Keysville; Kyle Huffer, of Farmville, and Kwandwo Donkor. Ring bearer was Master Cole Feinman, of Charlotte Court House. He wore a tuxedo to match the groom.
Matron of ceremonies was Mrs. Shannon Feinman, of Charlotte Court House. Musicians were Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Haggerty, of Mechanicsville.
Following the ceremony a reception was held on the lawn of the Ballowe House. Matron of the reception was Mrs. Donna Wright, of Keysville.
After a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple now resides at the Ballowe House in Shepherds.

A lingerie shower was given by Mrs. Shannon Feinman, Miss Meredith Feinman, Mrs. Brenda Vassar, and Mrs. Jennifer Wright at the Vassar residence on Feb. 19.
A couple's shower was given by the women of Mt. Harmony at Mount Harmony United Methodist Church on March 19.
A bridal shower was given by Mrs. Betty Harding, Mrs. Jennifer Wright, Mrs. Lisa Cooper, Miss Sara Cooper and Mrs. Donna Wright at the home of Mrs. Betty Harding on April 10.
A tool party was given by Carl Manis at Concord Baptist Church on April 17.
A “Stock the Kitchen” party was given by Mrs. Sarah Hodges, Miss Elizabeth Hodges, Mrs. Karen Blackwell, and Miss Ashley Blackwell at the Hodges residence on April 23.
A bridal luncheon was given by the bride for her attendants at Charley's Waterfront Cafe on May 27.
A bachelorette party was given by Mrs. Jennifer Wright, Miss Sara Cooper, Miss Elizabeth Hodges, Miss Ashley Blackwell, Miss Meredith Feinman, and Miss Grace Golden.
A rehearsal dinner was given by the parents of the groom at their residence, Buck Creek Ranch, on May 27 following the wedding rehearsal.
