NORTH CAROLINA, Jan. 5 – Basil Lee Allen, 79, of Nashville, NC, formerly of Cumberland, died Sunday, January 1, 2012.

He is survived by this wife, Lorene Allen of the home, two daughters, Stephanie Allen and Stacee Allen both of Cary, NC; son, Steven W. Allen of Raleigh, NC; three sisters, Georgia Foster of Cumberland, Martha Harris of Arlington and Jean Settle of Piscataway, NJ; brother, Barry Allen of Farmville and a grandchild, Stavian Allen of Cary, NC.

Visitation will be held at the Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville, NC on Friday, Jan. 6 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 7, at 1 p.m. from the Red Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Spring Hope Memorial Garden Cemetery. The Rev. J. B. Woodhouse will officiate.
