Alice Sutton Turner Baker, 89

BUCKINGHAM, Jan. 10 -Alice Sutton Turner Baker, 89, of Buckingham, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 6, 2012 surrounded by her family.
She graduated high school and attended Mary Washington College. She worked for 44 years as the main secretary for the U.S. Uniroyal Plant in Scottsville. She loved animals, farming, quilting and especially her family.
Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband of 25 years, Elwin Baker; son, Roy Sutton Turner and wife Janice; granddaughter, Tellie Turner Saunders and husband, Shawn; great-grandson, Chase Turner Moss; numerous nieces and nephews and many other friends and family members. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Bernard Turner, parents, Nicholas and Tellie Sutton, brother, Nicholas Sutton Jr., and sister, Sallie Sutton Smith.
Services were held Sunday, January 8, at Woodland United Methodist Church, Buckingham. Mrs. Baker was laid to rest in the Sutton Family Cemetery.
