December 15 – “Never fear! The end of something marks the start of something new.”

Mr. and Mrs. Don Meadows traveled to Richmond on Monday to shop and visit their daughter Julia Shotwell and grandchildren Josh, Zack, and Kate; son-in-law Andy was not at home during their visit.

Mrs. Peggy Kelsey attended the Women's Club Christmas luncheon at Charley's last Wednesday. The members enjoyed good fellowship.

“Special Blessings” of Glenn Memorial Baptist Church at Prospect met on Monday visiting residents at the Woodlands where they delivered some special gifts to members. Those taking part were Shirley Fulcher, Shirley Mottley and Evelyn Shelton.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stockton hosted an early birthday celebration for their grandson, Sean on Monday night at Merk's (Sean's favorite place to go). His parents Lon and Mary Jo Stockton were also in attendance.

Susan Campbell opened wide the door to her home on Saturday the 10 of December to the Prospect Happy Hats. They enjoyed a “Tea Party”/Cookie exchange. Susan and her sister Celia Dunkley were gracious hostess to Hilda Allen, Alice Campbell, Edwina Covington, Joyce Floyd, Lois Johnson, Elfrieda Kerns, Betty Meadows, Ann Norton, Pat Smith, Margaret Stockton and Jeannette Tarlton,

Shirley Moore, Betty Meadows and Margaret Stockton visited with Eloise Tucker and Naomi Skinner on Wednesday at the Woodlands.

Family, friends and neighbors are sending special get well wishes to all those who are sick at this time; Mrs. Naomi Skinner, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Adcock, Mike Fulcher, Mrs. Flora Bolt, Mrs. Shirley Fulcher, and Mrs. Alice Kelsey.

Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect will hold their annual Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. on Dec. 24. They invite you to come and be part of this service.

Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invites everyone to Sunday School at 10 a.m. with worship at 11am. Rev. Chuck Klotzberger will be in the pulpit this Sunday.

The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect invites you to come and worship with them every Sunday; Sunday School is at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m.

Calvary Chapel-Farmville invites you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30am. They invite you to join them each week on Wednesday evening for Bible Study for all age groups at 7 p.m. Calvary Chapel-Farmville is located at 45 Simpson Road in Prospect, two miles west of Dowdy's Corner just off of US 460.
