December 8 – “A thing done right means less trouble tomorrow.”

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas all through the Tuggle Area, there are outside/inside trees decorated as well, as homes, yards and even on the inside. There has been so much decorating going on there hasn't been time for much else.

Mrs. Flora Bolt is improving at the Moore Center following her recent surgery. She is in room 195 and welcomes all visitors.

Mike Fulcher had gall bladder surgery on Tuesday. He is home and doing ok.

Mr. and Mrs. John Fulcher attended the Amelia Dress Factory Christmas dinner Dec. 6. They enjoyed being with everyone.

Margaret Stockton and grandson Sean enjoyed a visit with Mrs. Alice Campbell on Wednesday.

Garland Woodson enjoyed Thanksgiving with Ann Parker and her family.

Mr. and Mrs. Scott Friend joined Mr. and Mrs. Don Meadows, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stockton for breakfast on Monday at Merk's Place.

The Prospect Historical Society members have raffle tickets for sale for a beautiful large quilt. The tickets are $1 each or six for $5, the drawing will take place at the meeting Dec. 20. You may call 434-392-6431 or 434-574-6140 for tickets or go by Merk's Place.

Family, friends and neighbors are sending special get well wishes to all those who are sick at this time; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Adcock, Mike Fulcher, Mrs. Flora Bolt, Mrs. Shirley Fulcher, and Mrs. Alice Kelsey.

Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect will hold their annual Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. on Dec. 24. They invite you to come and be a part of this service.

Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invites everyone to Sunday School at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. Rev. Chuck Klotzberger will be in the pulpit this Sunday.

The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect invites you to come and worship with them every Sunday; Sunday School is at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. The Rev. William “Bill” Clark will be at Davis Memorial this Sunday.

Calvary Chapel-Farmville invites you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am. They invite you to join them each week on Wednesday evening for Bible Study for all age groups at 7 p.m. Calvary Chapel-Farmville is located at 45 Simpson Road in Prospect, two miles west of Dowdy's Corner just off of US 460.
