Editor, The Herald:

I would just like to thank the community for all the support that has been given to Prince Edward County High School. On Saturday, December 3, Prince Edward County High School held a Christmas program for children in Prince Edward County. The response was wonderful; over two hundred children came along, had their picture taken with Santa, made crafts, and listened to Christmas stories. There was also an inflatable play area. I want to thank the community for attending and supporting this program. This was not only a way for our school to continue to connect with the community, but it was also a great way for our students to learn about service and servant leadership.

Special thanks to the Hampden-Sydney Fire Department for delivering Santa on a fire truck. I would also like to commend Cambridge Education for their input in regards to planning this event. Moreover, I would like to express gratitude to the PECHS faculty and staff for supporting this event with their time on Saturday. Last but not least, I want to express thanks and commend our students who worked during this event. Prince Edward County and our school are lucky to have such hard-working, diligent, and committed young people.
