SCOTTSVILLE, Dec. 1 – Louise Tapscott Templeton, 95, of Scottsville, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at her residence. She was born on November 30, 1915, in Buckingham County, the daughter of the late Allan Walker Tapscott and Annie Wellington Tapscott. She was married to the late Bernard Orville Templeton, who preceded her in death on June 22, 2005.

Survivors include a brother, Frank Tapscott; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Tammy Brown. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Clifford, Alvin, Leroy and Herman Tapscott, and a sister, Edith T. Rush.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 3, at Sharon Baptist Church in Buckingham County with the Reverend Perry Clore officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, December 2, at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home.
