MIDLOTHIAN, Dec. 27 – Edward Paul Ward Sr., “Eddie”, 72, of Midlothian, formerly of Farmville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 22, 2011. He was born January 12, 1939 to the late Eugene J. Ward Sr. and Elsie K. Ward.

He was a member of Tomahawk Baptist Church, Tomahawk Ruritan Club and the American Legion. He retired from Domin-ion Virginia Power in 1994.

Mr. Ward is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joyce; two daughters, Kim Parker (Steve) and Kelly Fuller; son, Edward P. Ward Jr. (Kathy); nine grandchildren; sister, Betty Torrence of Appomattox; two brothers, Eugene J. Ward Jr. (Lee Nell) and Lawrence B. Ward (Joyce); sister-in-law, Ann Ward, brother-in-law, Melvin Covington all of Farmville and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby and two sisters, Nell Sanderson and Martha Covington all of Farmville.

A memorial service will be held at Tomahawk Baptist Church, Midlothian, on Thursday, December 29 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be prior to the service.
