DECEMBER 20 – Doris M. Witt, 87, of Farmville, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 in Farmville.

She is survived by two sons, Allen Witt of Farmville and Jerry Witt and wife, Sandra Witt of Dillwyn; daughter, Debbie Witt of Farmville; daughter-in-law, Lois Witt of Danville; grandchildren, Tabbie Witt and Alana Witt, both of Farmville; and a sister, Susie Williams of Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie R. Witt, son, Roy Witt, three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 21 in the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
