On Nov. 13, Centra Southside Community Hospital, along with Dillwyn Correctional Center, Farmville Police Department, Prince Edward Sheriff's Department, and Longwood Police Department, coordinated a forensic disaster exercise involving an influx of “prisoner” patients into Centra Southside's Emergency Department. The exercise was conducted to test the different components of each department's Emergency Response Plan, and was an excellent learning experience for all who involved.
