November 24 – Happy Birthday wishes are sent out this week to Rev. Cameron Cloud, pastor of Hatcher Baptist Church in Cumberland, celebrating on Sunday, November 27 and Wilburn Whitehead and Alice Deane, both of Dillwyn, celebrating on Wednesday, November 30.

Happy Anniversary wishes go out to James and Virginia Boyles, of Cumberland, celebrating their 59th anniversary on Sunday, November 27, and J.R. and Marjorie Smith, of The Woodlands in Farmville.

Visiting in the home of Pete and Annie may Miles in Dillwyn on Saturday, November 19 was Michael MaHoney of Cumberland.

Barry and Linda Miles of Cumberland, visited in the home of James and Virginia Boyles in Cumberland on Monday, November 21.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a non-profit organization, will hold their annual Christmas Banquet on Saturday, December 3, at 1 p.m. in the VFW Hall, located on U.S. Route 60 in Buckingham. All members are asked to attend and bring a covered dish. Meats, tea and coffee will be provided by the association. This will be followed by special music from Deborah Branch of Buckingham. Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church, located off of U.S. 15 North of Dillwyn in Arvonia on State Route 672, will host a benefit gospel sing and supper on Saturday, December 3. A buffet supper will be given at 6 p.m. followed by Southern Gospel Music featuring The Singing Burrells with Clyde, Dorris and Diana of Appomattox. A love offering will be received to help with families who are in need. All are cordially invited to attend.
