CUMBERLAND – Citizens in Cumberland will have three upcoming opportunities to receive up-to-date information from the Cumberland County Public Schools division during community meetings that are being held throughout the county at the end of this month.
The Cumberland school division is holding community outreach meetings on Tuesday, November 29; Wednesday, November 30; and Thursday, December 1.
During each night's meeting there will be a different presentation from each of the three Cumberland schools. On Tuesday, the Elementary School will be presenting, followed by the Middle School on Wednesday, and then, finally, the High School will conclude the meetings with a presentation on that Thursday night.
The first meeting on November 29 will be held at the Cartersville Rescue Squad Building at 7 p.m.; the second meeting will be at the Randolph Volunteer Fire Department at the same time on November 30; and the third and final meeting will be in the Cumberland Middle School Media Center at the Middle/High School Complex. But get there early at 6 p.m. and enjoy a concert by the school's chorus before the meeting starts.
During each of the community meetings, citizens will have the opportunity to learn about the educational programs and courses that are available in the school system and input can also be provided on the 2012-2013 school budget.
Citizens will also be able to hear from each of the schools' principals and the Central Office administration will be on hand to answer questions about new legislation concerning the schools.
