RICE, Nov. 1 – Ralph Edward Mitchell, 73, of Rice, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 in Midlothian. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves.

He is survived by his wife, Janet R. Mitchell; son, Scott A. Mitchell and wife, Rebecca of Huntington, West Virginia; four sisters, a brother and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 1, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home.
