NEW CANTON, Nov. 29 – Juanita Newton Hill, 75, of New Canton went to be with her Lord Sunday, November 27, 2011 in Charlottesville.

Surviving are her two daughters, Linda Hill Gregg of New Canton and Virginia Hill “Ginger” Farrow and husband, Crockett of Manteo, NC; four sisters, Christine Dunivan and husband, Howard of Columbia, Peggy Gough and husband, Larry of Farmville, Barbara Jean Smith and husband, Jimmy of New Canton and Margie Childress and husband, Abner of Powhatan; brother, Dennis Newton and wife, Karen of New Canton; three grandchildren, Reggie Waddill, Whitney Gregg and Lindsay Boyer Crampton and husband, John; step-grandson, Andrew Farrow; uncle, Floyd Garrett and sister-in-law, Hilda Newton. She is also survived by her best friend of 57 years, Ann Lightfoot of New Canton, a daughter, in heart, Lisa Dunkum and numerous special nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death her husband, Robert Ernest Hill, her parents, Revery Earl Newton and Mary Pauline Garrett Newton, and two brothers, Charles and Bobby Newton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, in Welcome Wesleyan Methodist Church, New Canton. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Welcome Wesleyan Methodist Church or The American Cancer Society.
