LYNCHBURG, Nov. 17 – Charlie M. Carrington, 86, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg. He was a native of Prince Edward County and the son of the late Arthur and Hattie Watts Carrington of Prospect.

He is survived by his sister, Elsie F. Carrington of Prospect; sisters-in-law, Eva S. Carrington of Prospect and Pauline C. Carrington of Hardy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Cobb of thirty-two years, sisters, Madie C. Mitchell and Bertha C. Brown, brothers, Willis, Booker, Henry, Moses, James “Jack” and Robert Carrington.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 19 at noon at Triumph Baptist Church, Darlington Heights. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until noon at the church. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow at Sulphur Spring Baptist Church Cemetery in Prospect.
