Carolyn Lee Casteen White

NOVEMBER 22 – Carolyn Lee Casteen White passed away at The Woodland, in Farmville, on Thursday, November 17, 2011. Born in Portsmouth, October 26, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Nellie Putney Casteen and the late John V. Casteen Jr.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Anne White and Scott Wauford, of Marietta, Georgia; two grandsons, Hunter Pursell, also of Marietta and Wesley Wauford of Tennessee; granddaughter, Emmy Mize of Louisana; son, Stephen White of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina; sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Michael Lund of Farmville; nephew, John Lund of Norfolk; niece, Meredith Lund of Glen Allen; and by a large extended family, among them her cousin, Lucie Zehner of Farmville.
She had many devoted friends among The Woodland residents and staff.
A memorial service was held at Holly Manor, The Woodland, officiated by Dr. Michael Cheuk. Burial was in Portsmouth in Olive Branch Cemetery.
