TEXAS, Oct. 18 – Stanley Baldwin Metcalfe, 73, died at the Odyssey Hospice House in San Antonio, Texas on Friday, October 14, 2011.

Born in Washington, DC, on December 7, 1937, he was the son of the late Robert Ernest and Mary Elizabeth Wood Metcalfe of Buckingham.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Ann Cook Metcalfe of Virginia Beach; niece, Maryann Bateman and husband, Eric of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX; nephew, Robert E. Metcalfe III and wife, Lydianita of Panama City, FL; and great nieces and nephews, Brittany, Mackenzie and Chase Bateman and Cody, Abby and Emily Metcalfe. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Metcalfe II.

Mr. Metcalfe served in the Air Force for four years, worked for the Federal Government's Central Intelligence Agency for six years and retired from the Xerox Corporation in 2004 after 26 years of service. He moved to Boerne, Texas in 2008 and enjoyed his last years in the Hill Country of Texas.
