On September 27 the Cardinal Quilt Guild of Prince Edward County presented 12 quilts to Robert Day, director of the Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Homes in Brookneal. Members of the guild who presented the quilts were Marilyn Philbrook, Phyllis Guilliams and Myrna McKay. Other members of the guild who helped make the quilts are Millie Bonner, Wynelle Fox, Gisela Hendley, Glenda Ottaway, Madeline Slaydon and Violet Thackston. The guild made 15 quilts for the Girls' Home last fall; these quilts were made for the Boys' Home.
