The Cumberland County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in room C-8 of the Cumberland County Community Center located at the corner of Anderson Highway (Route 60) and Forest View Road (Route 628) in Cumberland, Virginia, to conduct a public hearing pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-2204, which such hearing may be continued or adjourned, as required under applicable law, and to consider the following item and taking actions in furtherance thereof:

BZA 11-03: Raman Enterprises Inc (Excel gas station) requests a variance from the requirements of Section 74-2425 of the Cumberland County Zoning Ordinance regarding the building setback from front setback in expansion of a pre-existing non-conforming structure with respect to approximately 1.574 acres of Tax Map 65, Insert A3, Section A, Parcel 51. The affected property is zoned B-1, Business. The applicant requests the setback required for structures from the centerline of Route 60 (Anderson Highway) be varied from one-hundred and thirty (130) feet to ninety-five (95) feet to allow for an expansion of pre-existing non-conforming fuel pump canopy and sign. The affected property has a physical address of 1913 Anderson Highway, Cumberland VA 23040 and is located at the intersection of Anderson Highway (Route 60), Cumberland Road (Route 45) and Hillcrest Road.
