DILLWYN, Oct. 13 – Margaret Leake Banton, 86, of Dillwyn passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2011 in Blackstone.

She is survived by two nieces, Bonnie Amos of Cumberland and Margaret B. Smoot of Otto, NC; nephew, Wallace Banton Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and a sister, Georgia of California. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carrie Mae Banton.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 12 in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church.
