October 6 – Here we are in October – where did the summer go? All of the Clubs and organizations have resumed meeting after the summer hiatus; the children have been back in school for weeks; and Christmas is less than 80 days away! Yikes!

During the month of October there are many observances including Breast Cancer Awareness Month; Fire Prevention Week; Columbus Day (a National holiday); and Halloween.

And the month of October also brings celebrations of harvest by many organizations.
