CHARLOTTESVILLE, Sept. 8 – Virginia “Ginny” Fulcher Davenport, 83, of Charlottesville, died Monday September 5, 2011 at Morningside Assisted Living.

Born November 25, 1927 in Farmville, she was the daughter of the late Elmo Vernon Fulcher and Mary Elam Fulcher. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Ted” Davenport, a son, Thomas “Tom” Davenport Jr., and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Fulcher.

Mrs. Davenport was a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Nursing and a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 10, at 11 a.m. at Monticello Memory Gardens with the Rev. Ed Winkler officiating.
