The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is proposing safety improvements at the intersection of Route 15 and Route 778 in Prince Edward County, Virginia through the addition of turn lanes and a traffic signal. In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), a Categorical Exclusion (CE) was approved by FHWA on June 15, 2004. Due to changes to the proposed project since the CE was approved, a NEPA Reevaluation of the CE was prepared to address the presently proposed project.

On behalf of FHWA, VDOT is making the NEPA Reevaluation available for public review. The NEPA Reevaluation addresses the presently proposed project, which was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act.

The NEPA Reevaluation will be available for review for 10 calendar days following the date of this public notice. Paper copies of the documents will be available at VDOT's Lynchburg District Office located at 4219 Campbell Avenue in Lynchburg, Virginia.
