CUMBERLAND, Sept. 8 – Marinda (Vernade) Booker Anderson, 85, of Cumberland departed this life on Monday, September 5, 2011 in Dillwyn.

She is survived by four sons, William Jr., Curtis, Raymond (Shirley) and Beryl Anderson; three daughters, Bernice Mayo, Carrie Roberson (Bobby) and Cheryl Bolden; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Lewis Anderson (Annie); three sisters-in-law, Virginia C. James, Louise Nelson, and Florine Booker; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Her remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home where public viewing will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 p.m. at Petersville Baptist Church, New Canton with the Rev. Ollie Bolden, pastor, officiating and Bishop Roy Foots, presiding. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
