The Kappa Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is sponsoring a “Coat Drive” October 1 through Nov. 1, as one of its various community service projects.

The drop-off sites will be Bland-Reid Funeral Home on Griffin Blvd. (Farmville), Cheryl's Beauty Salon (Dillwyn), and Faith Beauty Salon (Cumberland).

The community is requested to donate new and used coats for children and adults so that the citizens in the surrounding communities will have coats during the winter. The coats will be donated to families in the area.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is a community service organization whose motto is “Service to All Mankind”.
