August 25 – “No one ever says 'It's only a game'” when their team is winning.”

Shake – Rattle and Roll, is what was happening in the Tuggle area on Tuesday afternoon around 1:51 p.m.; this was not coming from so many people coming to the polls to vote but from a 5.8-magnitude earthquake, which turned what had been a very quiet, slow day at the polls into an exciting afternoon. Buildings were shaking, bricks were coming off chimneys, pictures were leaving the walls, cats and dogs were hiding, people were evacuating buildings and I don't know what else. The quake is something that we will talk about for years to come.

The place to be this Friday and Saturday is Prospect. On Friday afternoon at 7 p.m. there will be a walk/talk along the High Bridge Trail at Prospect. Bob Flippen and members of the Prospect Historical Society will be talking about Prospect in the past and today and some memories.

We hope to see you there between 5-7 p.m. – just a donation at the door is all we ask, nothing more. And no matter the weather, it's going to be a “good night, Irene.” I borrowed this from Phyllis Mason's facebook page, just too good not to use.
