AUGUST 25 – Sallye H. Simpson, 98, of Farmville, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011 in Farmville.

She is survived by a sister, Elizabeth S. Garnett of Farmville; niece, Glenda Woodall and husband, David of Buckingham; great-nephew, Geoffrey Woodall and wife, Nicole of Virginia Beach and their two children, Gabriel and Nadia; great-niece, Charity Peregoy and husband, Maynard of Valdosta, GA and their three children, Cameron, Christian and Chloe.

A graveside funeral service was conducted Thursday, August 25 in Westview Cemetery, Farmville.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Maranatha Baptist Church, 2204 Tuggle Road, Farmville, VA 23901 or Prince Edward County Volunteer Rescue Squad, PO Box 87, Farmville, VA 23901.
