CHARLOTTE CH, Aug. 9 – Roy Thomas Francis, 80, of Charlotte Court House, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Francis; five children, Dianne Shepherd (Lloyd) of Keysville, and Bruce Francis (Debbie), Patricia Felker (Daniel), Doris Myers (Alan), Randy Francis (Julie Newman) all of Abilene; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two brothers, Tom Francis of Drakes Branch and Wiley Francis of Keysville.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Lona H. Francis; daughter, Carol Joanne Francis; and brother, Kenith Francis.

A funeral service was held Sunday, August 7, in Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Keysville, with interment in the church cemetery.

The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, Keysville, was in charge of arrangements.
