According to Ms. Charleston, all four candidates spoke, sharing their opinions and plans during the mass meeting.

“By virtue of being the lone nominees in the first and fourth districts, Osl and Meinhard will be the Republican candidates in those districts,” she provided to The Herald. “In a very close vote, Cliff White defeated Lloyd Banks for the second district nomination so (he) will be the Republican candidate in the second.”

Chris Shores is the Chair of the Cumberland Republican Committee and Carter Harrison is the Vice Chair.

The general election will be held on Tuesday, November 8. The Board of Supervisors, School Board, and Constitutional Officers are all up for election this fall.
