Police Seek Robbery Suspect

FARMVILLE – The Farmville Police Department is looking for a man who robbed the Dollar General at 1005 S. Main St. in Farmville on Saturday, August 6. A police department press release describes the suspect as a black male approximately 5'10″ to 6' tall and weighing 200 pounds.
“He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, a white t-shirt, dark pants, white tennis shoes, and a black baseball cap. The suspect may have walked with a limp,” the press release states.
“The suspect entered the store just prior to 9 p.m. and stayed until closing. He then entered the store office and demanded money from an employee at gunpoint,” the press release states.
“After receiving an undisclosed amount of money he fled on foot behind the business. No one was injured during the robbery. Several people entered the store after the suspect, but left prior to the robbery,” the police press release states.
