DILLWYN, Aug. 2 – John Michael Duggan Jr., of Dillwyn, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 28, 2011. He was born March 23, 1968 to John Michael Duggan and Michele Lefevre.

He was a partner in the land-surveying firm of Watson and Duggan, PLC, Farmville. He held both A and B Land Surveying Licensure. He was partner with Greg Watson, his best friend and “my brother” as John always called him.

Mr. Duggan was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed canoeing, hiking, swimming and starting but never finishing projects. He has a great sense of humor, was fun loving and very mischievous. He was an animal lover and he thoroughly enjoyed his baby “Bella” (Doberman Pincher).

He will be remembered most for the devotion and love he showed to his wife and children. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend to all.

Mr. Duggan is survived by his wife, Lauren Duggan of Dillwyn; children, Lindsay Hagstrom, Joshua Duggan and Patrick Duggan all of Dillwyn; brother, Brian Duggan of Harpers Ferry, WV; many loving nieces and nephews and an amazing unofficially adopted son, Sean.
