BLACKSTONE, Aug. 18 – Christine E. Green, 67, of Blackstone, formerly of Cumberland, departed this life on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 in Farmville.

She is survived by her children, Jamie Brooks (Elnathan), Leonard III (Tanya), Christopher (Shelia) and Jason Green; 23 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three brothers, Christopher Jr. (Linda), Gregory (Velinda), and Wayne Simmons; two sisters, Patricia Bowman and Jennifer Dowdy-Belton; an aunt, Helen and other relatives and friends.

Her remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Cumberland, with the Rev. Larry E. Smith, pastor, officiating.

Public viewing will be held Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
