Twin Lakes Announces Weekend Events

Twin Lakes State Park announces the following weekend events:

Friday, July 29, 4 p.m. “Creature Feature” – learn about one of the park's many amazing creatures in “Creature Feature,” 8 p.m. “Make New Friends Campfire” – songs, new friends, stories and s'mores, meet at campfire circle behind Shelter 1; 9:30 p.m. “Guided Night Hike” – a whole new world when the moon comes up; hike and discover the wonders together;

Saturday, July 30, 11 a.m. “Canoeing 101″ – a guided canoe tour around Goodwin Lake, $5 per person, $4 per person for groups of 4 plus; 2 p.m. Geocaching 101” – a new way to treasure hunt; $3 per person, $8 per family; 4 p.m. “Creature Feature” – learn about the Park's creatures;

Sunday, July 31, 11 a.m. “Guided Beaver Hike” – a hike around Goodwin Lake to spot the park's most eccentric resident, the beaver; 2 p.m. “Lake Explorers” – dip nets in the water along the shore to see what creatures are there.
