On September 25, 2003, WWHS-FM was granted a license by the Federal Communication Commission to serve the public interest as a public trustee until October 1, 2011.

The WWHS-FM license will expire on October 1, 2011. Hampden-Sydney College filed an application for renewal with the FCC on June 22, 2011. A copy of this application is available for public inspection during regular business hours. It contains information concerning this station's performance during the last seven years.

Individuals who wish to advise the FCC of facts relating to the WWHS-FM renewal application and to whether this station has operated in the public interest should file comments and petitions with the FCC by September 1, 2011.
