BURKEVILLE, June 14 – Walter Richard “Dick” Goin, 86, of Burkeville went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 10, 2011 after a prolonged illness.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Lois Childress Goin; two daughters, Linda G. Fellows and Patricia Faye Force, both of Burkeville; seven grandchildren, Michelle Reeves of Appomattox, Chris Goin of Burkeville, Derrick Fellows of Crewe, Brian Baldwin of Crewe, Traci Nicely of Dinwiddie, Travis Fellows of Richmond and Monica Force of Burkeville and three great-grandchildren, Jayson Durham, Joy Durham and Mason Wilson.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 13, in the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home. Interment followed in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
