JUNE 16 – Vilma Dolores Woodard, 82, of Farmville passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at her residence. She was born December 19, 1928 in Lynchburg, the daughter of the late Duria Garland and Nellie Guthrie Hatcher. She was the widow of Aubrey C. Woodard.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda D. Tomkinson and Joan C. Cohen; grandchildren, Karen Sanchez, Billy Hoover, Jennifer Small and Brenda McClellan; great-grandchildren, Ryan Sanchez, Haley McClellan, Maddie Small, Jackson McClellan, Aubrey Small, Will Small and Alyson “Cole” Hoover; daughter-in-law, Colleen Woodard and her daughters, Kristin and Courtney and their children, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Colin, Drew and Samantha; brother, Houston Hatcher and wife, Doris; sisters, Patricia “Tootsie” Teller and husband, Bill and Adna Yeatts and sister-in-law, Flo “Kitty” Hatcher. She was preceded in death by a son, William A. Woodard, grandson, Timothy M. Jackson and a brother, Reginald Hatcher.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 18, at 4 p.m. at the Chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Saturday just prior to the service from 3 p.m.-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
