DILLWYN, June 2 – Ruth W. Griffin, 86, of Dillwyn, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 1, 2011.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dillwyn, and loved her Tuesday morning Bible Study group.

Mrs. Griffin is survived by her husband of 64 years, John P. Griffin; a son, John P. Griffin Jr.; a daughter, Jeanne G. Katz and husband, Jeffry L'H Tank; two sisters, Jeanne H. Baily and Doris F. Mezara; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur E. and Eva Moore Healey.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 4, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Dillwyn.
