DILLWYN, June 7, – Ruth E. Gomer, 89, of Dillwyn, died Sunday, June 5, 2011.

She is survived by a son, Edward G. Gomer of Buckingham; brother, Douglas Adcock of North Carolina; sister, Kathleen Strickler of Maryland; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
