Holliday Lake Notes Weekend Events

Holliday Lake State Park announces the interpretive events for the weekend of June 24-26:

Friday, June 24, 3 p.m. “Letterboxing” – meet in front of the Concession Stand; 5 p.m. “Nocturnal Animals & Craft – meet at the amphitheater; $2 per person; 8 p.m. “Welcome Campfire” at the amphitheater;

Saturday, June 25, 9 a.m. “Canoeing 101” – meet at the boathouse, suitable for ages 10 and up; $6/paddler; 1 p.m. “Beaveriffic!” at the Amphitheater; $2/person for supplies; 3 p.m. “Touch of Nature” at the tent between the Concession Stand and the Beach; 4 p.m. “Rock Hopping on Saunders Creek” at the fence at the Beach; 5 p.m. “Cool Treats” at the amphitheater; $2/person for supplies; 7 p.m. “Owl Call Canoe Tour” – cost is $6 per person and registration is required; meet at the Boat House; 8:30 p.m. “Movie Night” – meet at the amphitheater;

Sunday, June 26, 8 a.m. “Photography Workshop” – meet at the Amphitheater; 11 a.m. “Geo Caching” – meet at the Concession Stand; 1 p.m. “Backyard Habitat” – meet at Shelter #1; 3 p.m. “Preadators & Prey” – meet at the Concession Stand; 5 p.m. “Butterfly Garden” – meet at the Butterfly Garden.
