CHARLOTTE C.H., June 28 – Harold Marshall Harris Sr., 65, of Charlotte Court House, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011.

Mr. Harris was employed by Westpoint Stevens for 46 years. He was also a devoted and lifetime member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church where he served as deacon for many years.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Gayle Bryant Harris; three sons, Harold Marshall Harris Jr. and wife, Barbara of Rice, Rodney Kevin Harris and wife, Janice of Charlotte Court House, and Jeremy Bryant Harris and wife, Tracy of Floyd; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Harris, Hunter Matthew Harris, Bryan Marshall Harris, Sydney Reed Harris, Hanson Justus Harris, Asher Clark Harris, Canaan Nash Harris and Axel Zion Harris. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Hanson Marshall Harris and Dorothy Bagby Harris.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home on Tuesday (today) from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church pavilion fund or The American cancer Society.
