Dodson To Run In 22nd

LYNCHBURG – Lynchburg businessman and former Vice Mayor Bert Dodson was scheduled to announce his candidacy Tuesday afternoon for the Democratic nomination to run in the new 22nd State Senate District.

The announcement was to be held in front of the old Court House at 9th and Court Streets, near the top of Monument Terrace in downtown Lynchburg, at 2:00 p.m., after The Herald had gone to press.

The newly created 22nd District includes the city of Lynchburg and the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Buckingham, Cumberland, Fluvanna, Goochland, Louisa, and Prince Edward.
