The Cumberland County Planning Commission will meet on Monday, July 11, 2011, at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in Room C-8 of the Cumberland County Community Center located at the corner of Anderson Highway (Route 60) and Forest View Road (Route 628) in Cumberland, Virginia, to conduct a public hearing pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-2204, which such hearing may be continued or adjourned, as required under applicable law, and to consider the following item and taking actions in furtherance thereof:

Rezoning No. 11-01 – A request to rezone the following property from R-2, Rural Residential to B-1, Business and amend the Cumberland County Zoning Map accordingly:

Tax Map #'s 57, Insert A2, Section A, Parcel 4, 57, Insert A2, Section A, Parcel 5, 57, Insert A2, Section A, Parcel 6, 57, Insert A2, Section A, Parcel 8, and 57, Insert A2, Section A, Parcel 9 with respect to a total of 2.52 acres. The affected property is located on the north side of Anderson Hwy. (Route 60) approximately one half of a mile east of Foster Road (Route 726). The property is within the Courthouse Growth Area as designated by the Comprehensive Plan and is within election district 3.

Copies of the complete text of the above rezoning request and associated plan are available for public review at the office of the Cumberland County Planning Department, County Administration Building, 1 Courthouse Circle, Cumberland, Virginia between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm of each business day.
