BUCKINGHAM, June 7 – Charles E. Fox Sr., 75, of Buckingham, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 in Farmville.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Vanderpool Fox; children, Charles E. Fox Jr. and wife, Vanessa of Forest, Matthew L. Fox and wife, Denise of Farmville, and Cheryl F. Davis of Buckingham; grandchildren, David Fox, Olivia Fox, Cameron Fox, Kelly Fox, Dillon Fox, Casey Fox, Cody Davis and Brent Davis; step-children, Fred Asal and wife, Shelby of Farmville, Philip W. Asal and wife, Becky of Cumberland, and Theresa Chapman of Cumberland; six step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, in the chapel of shorter Funeral Home with interment to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.

The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Dillwyn Volunteer Fire Department.
