Mrs. Flora Bolt spent Sunday afternoon with her son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Steve (Terri) Bolt.

On Friday evening, Brianna and Christinia Smith of Keysville will accompany their grandmother, Mrs. Pat Smith, to the Mother – Daughter dinner being held at Calvary Chapel Farmville. The girls will spend the night at their grandparent's house, along with their brother, Charles. On Saturday all three grandchildren will attend the Heart of Virginia Festival with their grandfather, Jeff Smith.

Mrs. Betty Meadows, a member of the Ruth Adams Garden Club, attended the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs Annual Convention May 2 in Richmond at the Holiday Inn Select, Koger Center. She enjoyed the Design Luncheon served at the hotel and then a tour of the Governor's Manson where light refreshments were served.

It is good to be able to report Abby Kelsey is getting along very well following her lung transplant. Our special prayers are still needed.

Family, friends and neighbors are sending special get well wishes to all those who are sick at this time. Abby Kelsey, Judy Jamieson, John Fulcher and Raymond Garrett are in need of your special prayers.

Friends and neighbors are extending their sincere sympathy to the family of Mrs. Mary Stackhouse Wilson and to the family of Mr. Ralph Hines.

Hope to see all of you at the “Heart of Virginia Festival” this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Prospect Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary's Annual Spaghetti Supper will be Saturday, May 14, from 5-7 p.m. at the firehouse. The menu will include spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert, tea and lemonade. The cost is a donation. Everyone is invited to attend.

Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invites everyone to Sunday School at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. Rev. Chuck Klotzberger will fill the pulpit this Sunday.

The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect invites you to come and worship with them every Sunday; Sunday School is at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. The Rev. William “Bill” Clark will fill the pulpit this Sunday, Mother's Day.

Calvary Chapel-Farmville invites you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Calvary Chapel is holding an Easter service this Wed. evening. Also a communion service on Good Friday and a sunrise service on Easter in addition to the normal Sunday morning service. Calvary Chapel-Farmville is located at 45 Simpson Road in Prospect, two miles west of Dowdy's Corner just off of US 460.
